The Blessed Order of Fallen Stars
Track - The Real Thing
Listening to the 5 tracks on their website it started off well with a nice bassline on The Real Thing accompanied by some nice guitar effects. The vocals reminded me of a slightly happier Kurt Cobain however after 1 minute 30 the song just seemed to repeat itself on a loop. While the chorus is strong and sounds as though it could really get a crowd jumping or more likely forming a formidable mosh pit the rest of the song is pretty forgettable.
Track - TV Music Heartache Radio
The next track starts strongly with another great bassline (notice the theme great bass player - Elvis Valentine) however I feel the vocals on this track let it down, they lack the power to compliment the music. This track gets better as you go on with a nice change of pace allowing the song to build to somewhat of a climax, albeit a climax of soul searching rock music.
Track - Emmanuelle Nights Unmixed
The third track on the playlist had some great electronics and for me was probably the strongest so far. Vocals much more influential this time adding to the fast paced delight of the track, makes you want to turn the volume up and jump in the car and just drive as fast as you can until your ears start to bleed. I challenge you to listen to this song without your heart beating faster.
Track - Home of the Rebels
The final track reminded me of childhood days listening to Whitesnake. The vocals on this track sound like those of Coyote Shivers on the track Sugarhigh from the film Empire Records, if you don´t know what I´m talking about go rent the movie! Great song and definitely worth the listen.
Verdict
While I don´t buy all the self proclaimed hype (see below) I am in agreement about them recording these rough demo´s far better than 90% of the other tracks I´ve heard. Hopefully these guys will feature in some live venues around the country, I´ll sure go along.

The Blessed Order of Fallen Stars (in their own words)
The Blessed Order Of Fallen Stars are not a cult, nor are they not occult. the driving force and talent behind "The Aphrodisiacs" and "the 55´s" have risen from the ashes and taken to the skies. Through a process of musical alchemy "The Blessed Order..." came upon the perfect form of audio delight, ripped from the hands of angels.
"contrary to popular belief cobras do not in fact dance to the music of the snake charmer, they do however dance to the music of the blessed order of fallen stars."
This quartet of lovely lads have been preparing to unleash their musical blitzkreig upon the world since early 2008.
Al Nolan´s guitar used to be attached to his body until one summers eve he challenged the devil to a duel with swords. When Al plays his guitar nowadays he uses a strap, but we dont mind.
Elvis Valentine´s bass expertise has been utilised by the Ministry Of Defence in an attempt to recreate the infamous Philadelphia Experiment. Sadly they only succeeded in creating the brown note. Well that and some sweet ass tunes Elvis is an elusive little piece of candy!
St Ephan has been around for a very long time, however he only appears during times of extreme emotional or physical upheaval. He was there as the mayan civilization crumbled, he was there when the Visigoths sacked Rome, he was there at the crucifixtion and at roswell in 1947. It should come as no surprise then to know that St Ephan showed up for the end of music.
Boom!!!
