GrantJames

Grant James's sound is inviting with a slight Buckley and possibly a pinch of Syd Barrett feel and lyrically Verve like, which all fits together nicely. All the material on the current playlist is a mix of pure acoustic and overdubbed electric guitars echoing in the distance as a soft voice whispers in your ear. There is a nice scene set by all tracks however the sun never seems to quite shine nor the thunder clap, as all tracks feel longer than they need to be or awaiting a change that never comes.

It feels early days for the multi talented Grant James as his current material is somewhat reserved, as both material and vocals seem to hide an inner giant that is waiting for its time to reveal itself. I can imagine that once Grant James puts more weight behind his vocals and tightens up his material he will no doubt start winning a bigger crowd and gain more confidence in his abilities.
