BREAKGLASS EMERGENCY
Not much details provided by these guys Johnny Cajone, Shoz and a seriously talented Ike Malinki on bass. Next gig registered is Crow Bar Paisley in November. Rock, Blues and Garage they have obviously spent a lot of time together because they are producing a tight sound.
Takeaway Jesus - BREAKGLASS EMERGENCY
Lovely bassline here kicks in like a shot of tequila no messing around. Vocals slightly weak to begin with not gritty enough for the backing track. The song is heavily influenced by Thin Lizzy and Hendrix, strange combo but it works and for all those out there that like it rough you can't go wrong here. As the pace picks up the vocals become slightly less noticeable and the bassline is great. Slightly dodgy end to an otherwise enjoyable track.
December - BREAKGLASS EMERGENCY
Excellent atmospheric beginning to this track, much more powerful vocals in this track. Emotion oozes from this, but not in a crappy PG-13 way in a more get on the back of my bike babe I´m gonna drive you to my trailer and I may take my boots off if you´re lucky! Hugely different from most stuff out there on the market in the UK and has a definite US feel to it, but hell these guys are doing their Rock Blues in Glasgow, take advantage people. Chorus is great with a really catchy track, slapping your thighs in time with the beat thats always a good sign. Would be a great live track and really get a crowd going. Lovely come down towards the end and slightly better ending than the last one.
Verdict
Yes yes yes. Glasgow rock blues in the place to be. Took me back to the 80's with the flood of american artists coming up with this but its nice to see it put together in this way and brought back to life. Quality may be questionable at points on the tracks but shows enough to recommend you go see them or alternatively get in touch with them and encourage an album release.
